First packet switching network claim - dubious?

[edit]

The ARPANET was active before the NPL network; there does not seem to be any actual evidence to support the oft-repeated claim on this and related pages that the NPL implemented a packet-switching network before the ARPANET became active. GSNW8FRJ (talk) 19:02, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Added cites and changed the wording to say it was concurrent with the ARPANET. Whizz40 (talk) 04:40, 10 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Leonard Kleinrock said this occurred before the ARPANET installed its first node.[1]
