Naval Information Processing System
[edit]Decades ago, I had the pleasure to work (via NARA) on a much older 9-track computer tape that contained President Nixon's "Whitehouse appointment calendar". It hadn't been figured out and was in danger of decay. Turns out it was in "NIPS" format. We cracked the data format and set up a database for NARA. Learned that first visitor to Nixon Whitehouse was Hank Aaron. Grampsof7 (talk) 01:51, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
