The result of the move request was: not moved. There is consensus that WP:DIFFCAPS applies here. While it is a valid point that readers might accidentally type NEPTUNE, we have to also consider the users who are doing so intentionally and correctly to get to this article. As for readers not being aware of the relevance of this on Wikipedia, look at it this way: they are at least pretty likely to figure it out after making the mistake once and being taken to a different article than they expected.   Yes but is it likely that someone would search in all caps for anything else like the planet? Yes some things like logos and some databases use all caps but it doesn't seem likely someone would expect anything else is they search that way. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:58, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

• Support. WP:DIFFCAPS is insufficient here. It applies when the choice of capitalization is likely to represent a deliberate choice on the part of readers in a substantial majority of cases. This sometimes, but not always, applies with title case and more often with CamelCase and other unusual/stylized variations. Most search bars are not case sensitive, and most Wikipedia readers probably aren't acutely aware that we are unusual in this way. If someone starts searching with caps lock on, they aren't likely to erase and correct the error, which is irrelevant in most search contexts. WikiNav shows that Neptune is the #1 article readers click to from this page, with more than half of outgoing clicks.
