Notability concern: Proposing redirect to CK-12 Foundation
[edit]I propose redirecting Murugan Pal to CK-12 Foundation, with any verifiable content merged there.
After checking sources, I don’t see significant independent coverage of Murugan Palaniappan that would satisfy the requirements for a standalone bio.
• The two in-article refs are from 2006 and are routine business coverage; they don’t give non-trivial biographical depth. One is a dead link, the other is just an exec brief- neither establishes notability (see also WP:V / WP:RS).
• The best independent pieces I can find name-check or quote him in the context of SpikeSource/OpenBRR, e.g. Network World (2005) and eWeek (2006). These are brief mentions inside broader company/industry stories, not profiles of the person. I am doubtful that is enough for a Wikipedia article.
Per WP:NOTINHERITED and WP:BIO notability isn’t established by co-founding a notable organization when sources focus on the org. I suggest redirecting this page to CK-12 Foundation and merging any verifiable facts (Murugan Palaniappan's co-founder role and year of death) there.
If someone has independent profiles or obituaries focused on him, please add them here; absent that, I propose this is article is merged with CK-12 Foundation. Shandric (talk) 07:08, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
