Merge from Cascade amplifier
[edit]It seems like Cascade amplifier can be handled as a special case of Multistage amplifier and does not require an article of its own. ~Kvng (talk) 18:13, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
- It seems to me that it's just a special simple case of multistage amplifier. That is, a multistage amplifier without any feedback. Although there may be no difference at all - I haven't checked the literature for usage. SpinningSpark 21:29, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
- This author defines cascade amplifier as a multistage of common emmiter stages and opposes it to a cascode amplifier. Pretty much every one else treats cascade and multistage as synonyms. SpinningSpark 22:12, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
Significance of cascode
[edit]@Kvng: Why have you moved cascode up into the opening paragraph? As a combination of common base and common emitter that comes under "More complex schemes...with different stages having different configurations". It also forces you to mention common base and common emitter before the more general discussion of those configurations. SpinningSpark 12:47, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
