Citation Needed and it reversion
[edit]To Yerevantsi, I don't hold grudge against your or your ethnicity's background. But judge from your name that implied you are an Armenian, I don't see any urgency of you to always reverted or undo [citation needed] that I put on the introduction of Ararat's page. If we wanted to improve this article, we need to put the citation for what can be considered as "claim". By giving [citation needed] I by no mean willingly move and motivate to vandalise or undermine Armenian topics in en.wiki. Perhaps, instead of keeping reverse it, you can put the source that backs the claim up. Thank you, շնորհակալություն, shnorhakalutyun. Mfikriansori (talk)
Article review
[edit]It has been a little bit since this article has been reviewed, so I took a look and noticed lots of uncited statements, including entire paragraphs. Should this article go to WP:GAR? Z1720 (talk) 03:44, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Uncited statements, including entire paragraphs. Unreliable sources like YouTube, IMDB, vimeo and Panarmenian.net are used. Z1720 (talk) 03:58, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
- Just curious as to why Panarmenian.net is unreliable. It's a quite well-established Armenian news agency. ----Երևանցի talk 08:39, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Yerevantsi: This determination is based on consensus at WP:RSN, including the latest one at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 445#panarmenian.net. Z1720 (talk) 15:33, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
- That seems to focus largely on the article (which does appear problematic), not its reliability per se. A simple Google Books search indicates that it is widely cited in scholarly works. ----Երևանցի talk 11:10, 10 August 2025 (UTC)

- Panarmenian aside, I've already removed some of the uncited sentences and paragraphs and will work on the rest in coming days. ----Երևանցի talk 11:10, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
- Yerevantsi, do you feel that the article has been brought up to GA status, or would you like more time to work on it? ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:45, 11 September 2025 (UTC)

I added a couple more references, but a few passages still need verification. I marked those with "citation needed", and hopefully shortly return to source them. —LastJabberwocky (Rrarr) 17:56, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
Why is the title Mt. Ararat when it is named Mt. Ağrı officially (since it is located in Turkey)?
[edit]This is confusing. The same article in the Turkish wiki is labelled as such, with Ararat as an alternative. Why is it the other way around here? Artemiser32 (talk) 01:32, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
- English Wikipedia articles use the English language WP:COMMONNAME, rather than the name used in the Turkish language or other languages. CMD (talk) 02:29, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
