This is the talk page for Motherisk

Controversy

[edit]

Why is no one discussing the controversy that Motherisk is finding itself embroiled in?

http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2015/04/22/childrens-aid-societies-told-to-stop-using-motherisk-hair-tests.html

I don't have the writing or editing skills to edit the page, but since Motherisk has such a large impact on pregnant women in Toronto, I feel it should be added to the wiki entry.

Moved into own section (Note, I did not make the original comment). Re: controversy, sometime after the above comment was posted, a relevant "Controversy" section was added.CrocodilesAreForWimps (talk) 20:55, 13 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Help line and clinic

[edit]

While the clinical research laboratory operating at Sick Kids under that name appears to have been closed in 2015, there is still a helpline and clinic operating out of Sick Kids that is still very much active (http://www.motherisk.org/). Believe article should mention that. Trying to find out what kind of connection there is between these aspects of the "Motherisk" program but most of the information out there (aside from the official website) just talks about the scandal in the clinical laboratory exclusively.
