first ever separate-but-combined road-and-oval track

The article states that this was the "first ever separate-but-combined road-and-oval track." Can someone explain why Monza doesn't qualify? Is it because at Monza the layout was such that a race could use both the oval and the road course during the same race (as occurred several times in the 1950s), whereas at Motegi it sounds like it would be logistically impossible to do this? 1995hoo 15:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Does someone have a Google Earth-compatible overlay for this track?

BTW: I completed a SVG version of the track layout. I don't know why it doesn't display on the image description page. I also don't know why it is clipped. Does someone have answers?

Mobility Resort Motegi → ? – Moved from longstanding title without any apparent discussion. Suggest either moving back to "Twin Ring Motegi" or using a WP:NDESC like "Motegi Circuit" that would be consistent with other articles like Silverstone Circuit or Monza Circuit. This venue's WP:COMMONNAME in English is generally just "Motegi" (see the BBC, Crash.net, The Race, Autosport, the Independent). Where a longer title is used there's no evidence that the "Mobility Resort" name is prevailing in recent usage over the "Twin Ring" name (see Honda, Motorcycle Sports, Formula Scout, The Drive, MotoGP, Speedsport), and even if the "Mobility Resort" name is sometimes brought up, it doesn't have a quarter-century of usage to establish WP:RECOGNISABILITY. While both "Twin Ring" and "Mobility Resort" are idiosyncratic names, "Twin Ring" is at the very least clearly descriptive of the venue's pair of circuits, while "Mobility Resort" is some sort of wasei-eigo that does not suggest a motor circuit in standard English, and would likely be mistaken for an article about a theme park or mountain bike park by someone scanning through search results. Mobility Resort Motegi → ? – I have no particular preference for whether this article should be moved back to the old title of "Twin Ring Motegi" or to an WP:NDESC like "Motegi Circuit" (in the style of other articles like "Monza Circuit" or "Interlagos Circuit"). The 2025 requested move apparently slipped by the radar of motorsport editors but did nothing to address the problems with the WP:OFFICIAL name that lead to it being moved back to "Twin Ring Motegi" in 2023. "Mobility Resort Motegi" is a wasei-eigo (pseudo-English) term that is completely nonsensical in this context in actual English. If this were an article about a theme park that was specifically designed to accomodate wheelchair users then perhaps the "Mobility Resort" title would make sense, but nothing about it suggests a motor racing circuit. Additionally, no evidence that this wasei-eigo WP:OFFICIAL name is actually the WP:COMMONNAME in English has been provided, whereas evidence to the contrary was provided in the requested move from 2023. • Support move to Motegi Circuit. Unfortunately I think using "Twin Ring" would not be appropriate/accurate as one of the twins is being demolished and it is more commonly known as just "Motegi" in the racing community.
