Not only does the broken anchor tag need fixing, as well as a couple of typos ('s after Rumkowski and space in Judenratin in note 18), but given the slant of this article I think someone should check Trunk's book's portrayal of Merin. Does Trunk judge M.M. as harshly as this article implies? If so that's fine, as his research is the main source, although since his publication in 1972 the actions of some heads of the Judenrat (and crematoria "Sonderkommandos" have been assessed with more nuance about the structural and physical violence they faced.
