Benefit of lunar base for the development of planetary defense
[edit]One thing I'm thinking of is that the creation of a lunar base could (in the future) also help in improving the capability of deflecting asteroids (asteroid impact avoidance) which could potentially impact earth or other nearby planets in the solar system, as the launch of missiles or crafts that can alter the asteroid trajectory will be easier (and they may get much more kinetic energy, due to absence air resistance at launch). --Genetics4good (talk) 17:07, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Renaming article to Lunar base
[edit]Moonbase is somewhat awkward , but more importantly it could be misunderstood as a base on any moon. Nsae Comp (talk) 00:55, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Moonbase seems to be the more popular term, according to search statistics, but I think lunar base is more scientific. PS: "Moon base", with capital-letter Moon, is also in use. Nsae Comp (talk) 03:02, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
