Incorrect quote/fact

[edit]

The quote attributed here to "Richard Rogers," with footnote #13, is a bungled misquote of the original magazine article. Firstly, the man's name is incorrect; it should be Richard Rodgers. As for the quote: The article's author mentioned Rodgers and something he wrote in 1936, then separately mentioned Chandler with no date reference. The line about Chandler is the author's original observation, not a quote from Rodgers. This is additionally obvious because Chandler's first noir novel was published in 1939, so no one would be making Chandler references in 1936.Jtcarpet (talk) 22:45, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
