Monique = French or Dutch?

[edit]

The article stated with no reference that Monique was of French and Dutch origin. I highly doubt it is from Dutch origin, as the "que" ending is typically French, and is not used in Dutch language as far as I know. It's a French origin name, that is popular in Dutch language area and in America, that's another thing, but it doesn't change it's language of origin. If I'm wrong, and that is also from Dutch language, please provide some references.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:8A8D:FE80:486:EE3:25B8:4237 (talk) 17:07, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
