in the article, it is mentioned that Mombacho’s last eruption occurred in 1570. There is no historical knowledge of earlier eruptions, but in page Islets of Granada it states The islets are of volcanic origin, they were formed when the Mombacho volcano blew much of its cone into the lake thousands of years ago. which contradicts the statement.
