Dry spa - sounds dangerous
[edit]the linked page doesn't mention them - a google search does seem to show that dry co2 baths do exist - but doing any bathing in gas pools from a volcano sounds insane to me - perhaps we should remove that section. In fact I will grab it and stick it here as a block quote rather than leave it in the article - someone can put it back if they can flesh it out sensibly
Depending on the mineral content of the different vapours, mofette may be used for therapeutic purposes as well. As carbon dioxide is heavier than the air, patients can use it as dry spa, if certain safety regulations are complied with. The first known record about mofetta treatment for injuries is from the sixteenth century, by Paracelsus.
