Advertising or promotional material

[edit]

This article is written in the style of a marketing piece selling the benefits of modular construction, rather than as a description of what modular construction is. Significant sections of the article ("Advantages", "Time", "Safety", "Sustainability") are non-standard wikipedia categories, and are written in a highly conversational, supportive tone. For example, under "Sustainability": "Modular construction is a great alternative to traditional construction when looking at the amount of waste each method produces".

The article also makes a large number of unreferenced assertions - for example, the entire "Cost" section contains numerous specific claims regarding cost savings against other construction techniques but only a single reference, regarding the relative transport cost of materials.

This article should either be completely overhauled to act as a descriptive article, or otherwise deleted and folded into one of several similar other pages on modular building - Modular building,Commercial modular construction, Prefabricated building, and so on. 118.209.85.212 (talk) 08:14, 21 December 2021 (UTC) Thomas MReply

Agreed, this is more like an advertising promotion than an encyclopaedia article. It should be much more factual and less opinionated. Boleslaw (talk) 01:51, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Modular swimming pool structure

[edit]

I propose adding a sentence to the article to reflect a specific application of modular construction principles in non-building structures, particularly swimming pools, supported by an academic source.

Proposed Change Location: Under the section **Construction** (subsection of Cost), at the end of the third paragraph (after the sentence that ends "...at decreased costs.")

Proposed Text to Add: The principles of modular prefabrication are also applied to non-building structures, such as in the creation of swimming pool systems that use prefabricated composite panels to facilitate rapid assembly in remote or difficult-to-access sites.[1]

Reasoning: This addition provides a verifiable example of modular construction being used outside of typical building construction (hotels, housing) to solve logistical and construction challenges, supported by a peer-reviewed academic source.

Disclosure: If you are affiliated with the product or company: I disclose that I have a close connection to Hybrid Pools Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer of a modular pool system, and am submitting this request in compliance with WP:COI. The proposed text only addresses the general application of the technology, supported by an independent academic source. Siahchanping (talk) 05:39, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
