Weird wording in "traditional preparation"

Under the traditional preparation section of this page, in bullet point 2, it says "The work involves two people, one pounding and the other turning and wetting the substance the mochi." Proposal to Add a Link to My Mochi Recipe in the "Mochi" Article

Wikipedia is not here for you to promote your website or activities. Are you an acknowledge world renowned expert on the manufacture of mochi? If not then your link in't suitable. MOS:DATEVAR

I generally see either Canadian English or British English with Oxford spelling with some exceptions, such as molded, colored, and flavor. However, instances of American English are mixed with Canadian English or British English. I am proposing changing MOS:ENGVAR and MOS:DATEVAR to one of the following.

• British English with Oxford spelling and DMY dates
• Canadian English and DMY dates
• Canadian English and MDY dates
• American English and MDY dates

After deliberation, I have settled on using MDY dates with American English. The article appeared to have used MDY dates in prose, but used different varieties of English throughout. I think we should add a section about modern fusion trends like 'mochi skin soft serve'.

That's what I think - I even made a short paragraph about it but feel free to change it if you want to add this! :) Mochi skin soft serve is a contemporary fusion dessert combining low-temperature dairy soft-serve with a thin, highly elastic sheet of glutinous rice dough. The mochi dough is formulated with sugar and potato starch to maintain a pliable, non-sticky texture when it comes into direct contact with the sub-zero temperature of the ice cream. The dessert is commonly dusted with fine powders such as matcha (green tea), ube (purple yam), or cocoa to prevent cohesion and provide contrasting flavor profiles.
