Mithril in other works subsection?
[edit]Should I create a small subsection listing mithril's appearances in other works? Whether that be in adaptations of Tolkien (Peter Jackson trilogy, rings of power) and non Tolkien works (world of Warcraft, terraria, elder scrolls). Chilachinchila (talk) 16:51, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking. It sounds a doubtful proposition and very close to original research. It would be all right if and only if a scholar or other reliable authority has specifically written about mithril in other works, saying something along the lines of "Jackson interprets the metal differently from Tolkien, since XYZ": we can then write "Scholar ABC writes that Jackson's version of mithril differs from Tolkien's in that XYZ.[123]" Without that, it's a non-starter really.
