Can someone changed the population rank on 19th to 18th because List of U.S. states and territories by population says 18th. The rank 19th was for last year. ~2026-71744-3 (talk) 04:26, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

The section with that statistic is labeled as having 2024 data - to update population rank to 18th, I think we'd also need to update the other statistics (total population, density, median household income, etc) and find new sources for that. Map of Native American ancestries

I think that, even though they are less than 1% of the state's population (actually 3% if including also mixed-race individuals with partially Native ancestry), including a map of Native American ancestries (which I added to the article) is relevant, because they were the original inhabitants of the land, and they have created much of the state's folklore. Corrections/suggestions

Since Kansas City is larger than St. Louis I would suggest mentioning it first in the introductory paragraphs. Also, I don’t know what qualifies as the “largest” corporations in the state but not including Hallmark Cards seems like a significant omission. ChiHariboo (talk) 23:29, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

The size question is a good point. St. Louis committed itself to being the smaller city, while Kansas City was and is free to spread. Given that the first paragraph refers to 'urban areas', though, Metropolitan StL (MO-IL) at 2.8 million vs. KC's MO-KS metro population of about 2.4 million, the nod goes to St. Louis urban area. (For now, but that could change in the next few years. StL area is stagnating a bit, while KC is more dynamic.) -- Agreed that Hallmark's HQ in KC merits mention.
