Second biggest fediverse software after mastodon

[edit]

I was just reading that Misskey is the second biggest fediverse software after mastodon (Reference to https://fedidb.org/ which shows a "popular software" table), so I was surprised there was no article about it. Is it too Japanese to find English language citations?

I don't recall seeing it cited enough by established news sources. See Wikipedia:GNG bkil (talk) 16:33, 8 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Almost all Misskey instance are in Japanese. Even if there's one, it's usually in Asian language like Korean, Chinese, or Indonesian.
English instance usually use Misskey-fork named Sharkey, which the development community main language is English. Christian Elbrianno (talk) 12:00, 12 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Remove or clarify references to misskey.io

[edit]

Misskey.io is the official misskey instance, but is not the same as the Misskey Project, which is the entity responsible for development of the project. The history section of this article makes it seem like the two are one and the same, and should be modified to include a distinction. JfromB (talk) 17:14, 20 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
