The Picture?
[edit]Anybody know how to contact her? If she wants the famous selfie up on the web, she could upload it with a creative commons license so it could be displayed on her page here. A beauty queen ought to have a picture anyway. 68.173.49.156 (talk) 01:21, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
District?
[edit]It sounds like a dumb question, but I'm genuinely asking: What does the "District" part represent? The contestant's place of origin or the location where the pageant took place? Lililolol (talk) 20:10, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

This article is being tampered with by people with COIs
[edit]There is factual information that is constantly being removed or otherwise rewritten in biased or factually incorrect ways by the same editors. I noticed this and attempted to add the factual information back in with cited sources, and move to request protected status for this page. I'd appreciate those edits being reviewed and restored to how the page was several hours ago or upon my last edits, and whatever other editors are working on this should be flagged as having potential COIs. There is an ongoing public dispute and it seems that certain parties are trying to use the wiki page to affect it. ~2026-29324-53 (talk) 14:00, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Restored the page to the most complete and cited version. ~2026-29324-53 (talk) 14:43, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
Ongoing edit dispute
[edit]We are concerned about a pattern of editing rather than any single edit. Based on the editor’s contribution history, the account appears to focus almost exclusively on the Miss Israel and Melanie Shiraz articles. During the current dispute, the editor has repeatedly removed factual organizational information, including the organization’s official website and the name of the organization’s president, while repeatedly restoring disputed material that reflects negatively on the organization. Regardless of the editor’s identity, this selective editing pattern raises concerns about neutrality and a possible conflict of interest. We respectfully ask that an administrator review whether these edits comply with Wikipedia’s policies on neutral point of view, conflict of interest, and verifiability. We are not asking for Wikipedia to favor our organization. We are simply requesting that the article remain balanced, stable, and based on reliable independent sources rather than repeated selective edits during an ongoing dispute. ~2026-39134-83 (talk) 16:11, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- So you are admitting to be part of the organization. You cannot simply delete factual information because it reflects poorly on the organization. Noting this here for review. ~2026-29324-53 (talk) 16:27, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Ongoing content dispute and request for administrator review
[edit]The editor in question is ~2026-29324-53. This is the same account whose contribution history appears to focus almost exclusively on the Miss Israel and Melanie Shiraz articles. The account has also accused other editors of having conflicts of interest while repeatedly restoring its own preferred version of the article. I am not making any claim regarding the editor’s identity. However, this pattern of highly selective editing raises concerns about a possible undisclosed conflict of interest and warrants independent administrator review. ~2026-39134-83 (talk) 16:15, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Administators do not have any jurisdiction over article content. A user adding content you do not agree with is not "edit warring". The only thing close to
repeated back-and-forth reverts
was initiated by you removing content, in what looks not unlike an attempt to whitewash the article. - The Bushranger One ping only 17:28, 10 July 2026 (UTC)- How can we stop this editor from doing so? I have requested protection for the page multiple times but this editor (which has now verified their involvement with the organization in the "Ongoing edit dispute" topic. I have attempted to restore the information several times now. This editor needs to be flagged and the page should be reviewed and given protected status due to its sensitive nature. ~2026-29324-53 (talk) 16:29, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Request for Independent Review
[edit]After carefully reviewing the editing history, I would like to raise a concern regarding the editing pattern on the Miss Israel article. The editor responsible for introducing and repeatedly restoring the disputed controversy section appears, based on their public contribution history, to edit primarily the Miss Israel and Melanie Shiraz articles. The editing pattern includes repeated additions of controversy-related material to the Miss Israel article while also making edits to the Melanie Shiraz biography. I am not making any claim regarding the identity of the editor or their relationship to any individual. However, this editing pattern raises concerns about a possible undisclosed conflict of interest and would benefit from an independent review. I also believe there is an editorial question regarding article scope and due weight WP:UNDUE. National beauty pageant articles are generally intended to document the history of the competition, titleholders, and notable organizational developments. If every dispute involving contestants were incorporated into the main page of every beauty pageant, these articles could become dominated by individual controversies rather than encyclopedic information about the competition itself. If there is independently sourced and encyclopedically relevant information concerning Melanie Shiraz, it may be more appropriate to discuss that material within her own biography, where it can be presented with proper context and balance, rather than allowing the main Miss Israel article to become centered on a dispute involving a single former titleholder. For these reasons, I respectfully request that experienced editors review whether the current content complies with Wikipedia’s policies on neutrality WP:NPOV, due weight WP:UNDUE, biographies of living persons WP:BLP, and reliable sourcing WP:V. BeautyPageantsRu (talk) 01:00, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
- The controversy described clearly pertains to the organization itself and references multiple titleholders, not just one individual. If this controversy represents a significant portion of the current organization's notable coverage, its inclusion is consistent with Wikipedia's goal of accurately summarizing the subject based on reliable sources. It is not the role of Wikipedia editors to omit well-sourced information simply because it is unfavorable.
- You also repeatedly reference the Melanie Shiraz article and assert that the editor in question primarily contributes to that page. That assertion appears to be inaccurate, and the way these facts are presented gives the impression that they are being framed in a misleading manner. It is also unclear how this point is relevant to the discussion at hand. Moreover, your comment overlooks the fact that this editor restored content that had previously been removed by another editor who explicitly disclosed a conflict of interest by stating that they were affiliated with the organization. Tangeloman (talk) 12:56, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
Incomplete article, contains inaccuracies
[edit]A previous version of this article with more complete information was removed. Among the inaccuracies is the statement and note specifying that the 2026 titleholder's title was revoked, citing a clearly biased news outlet. The organization's statement itself said that the titleholder is "no longer authorized to represent the organization", not that her title was revoked. This appears to be an attempt by the organization to misportray the information. The 2026 controversy also included much more than selection controversy. The titleholder also alleged abuse, and that the organization was operating against Israel's interest. Please ensure that this article is not biased in a way that reflects the organization's private statements rather than actual news outlets' publications that referred to reviewed evidence.

- I meant to say 2025 titleholder, sorry. I also just noticed it says "Caesarea" under that titleholder's location, but numerous sources state that she is from and lives in Tel Aviv. The cities represented under Edgar Entertainment's version of this pageant don't reflect where candidates are from. The previous version of this article seems to have had more correct and complete information. Tangeloman (talk) 19:58, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
