The information is well cited, I'll be sure to revert all unsourced claims and unverified sources as you clearly are attempted to add a bias where there is none.

External link broken

I can't find this quote. The Financial Times page it links to goes to an error page. Ryan W (talk) 04:58, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Article needs a rework

There are a few problems with this article. If I have time, I'll work on addressing them in the coming days/weeks.

1. The lead correctly attributes the phrase Miracle of Chile to Friedman, but then it goes on to regurgitate his story (that it ostensibly produced economic success and eventually political freedom) without, in my view, giving due weight to other perspectives which dispute how accurate this interpretation really is.
2. There seems to be limited clarification on the fact that many reforms were reverted following 1982. The economic history of Chile was not linear under Pinochet's dictatorship.
3. For the above reasons and some more, this article seems to deviate from NPOV quite substantially.
4. The weird tangent into abortion in the section Performance on economic and social indicators is unnecessary and irrelevant.
5. Again regarding differing perspectives, I believe this study can be referenced, which states relative to the control, Chilean income per capita greatly underperformed for at least the first fifteen years after Pinochet’s coup
