Tax section desperately needs an update

[edit]

The tax section is using numbers from almost 20 years ago.

I'll do my best to update it if nobody else will, but I've never made a Wikipedia edit before, so I'd really rather someone who knows what they're doing do it instead. Uufda651 (talk) 04:04, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Edit: okay so apparently I can't edit it. Someone with edit permissions, please fix this! I'll even go find you sources on the latest numbers. It's just so egregiously outdated! Uufda651 (talk) 04:12, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
do you have a source with newer figures? -- Aunva6talk - contribs 15:31, 2 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change “… erected around the encampment on Pike Island, just below the fort…”

TO

“…erected around the encampment on the river bottom flats directly below Fort Snelling…”

I work at the historical site which is how I know of the distinction of where the camp was located. It is a common error when people state that the camp was located on Pile Island. It was not. A source for it’s true location of “the river bottom flats directly beneath Fort Snelling” can be found on the Minnesota Historical Society website at:

https://www.mnhs.org/fortsnelling/learn/us-dakota-war#:~:text=Over%20the%20course%20of%20three,acres%2C%20on%20the%20river%20bottom.

At issue is the misunderstood understanding that Pike Island was the location of the camp. That is an error. The assertion was made at some point that Pike Island was the location and that mistake was repeated by several people. The "river bottoms" is separated from Pike Island by the Minnesota River, it is certainly a distinctly separation. ~2026-23497-48 (talk) 17:41, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then what should be the correct change? Please justify VerdictByLogic - Let's Discuss 10:51, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Add “based in Minneapolis” after Minnesota Vikings

It includes the estimate from 2025 yet the citation is from the 2022 estimate? Can someone please fix this? — MisterE727 (talk) 19:47, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Good catch; fixed. MGray0 (talk) 11:58, 18 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
