Paid editing

• This article was written almost entirely by promotional SPAs. Looks to me like the work of a paid editing firm. I've cut out most of their nonsense for now, but I'm sure they'll be back. Sam at Megaputer (talk) 18:20, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Edit request

A few months ago, all of the product info was removed from the article. I know I'm not supposed to edit since I have a company connection, but I'd like to update and improve it, including restoring a minimal amount of product info for readers, while following the guidelines. Below is a series of requests that I'd like to make. Thank you for considering them.
1) Please replace the press release source in the type field in the infobox with this independent one. The code in the box can be copied directly.

In January 2024, Marc van Zadelhoff replaced Bauer as the company's CEO.

11) Please add these two acquisitions chronologically to the acquisitions section, before and after the Code42 acquisition.

In January 2024, Mimecast acquired human risk management specialist Elevate Security.

In August 2024, Mimecast acquired AI compliance software provider Aware.

12) The technology section is a remnant of info that was deleted a few months ago. It's now unnecessary. Most readers won't care about the technical workings of one part of the company's business. I'd prefer to replace it with a simple products section listing the different categories with independent sources.

Mimecast started as a cloud-based email management platform for Microsoft's email products, and after a series of acquisitions, expanded to be a more general provider of risk reduction services within organizations. The company sells products in the following four areas: email & collaboration threat protection; insider risk management & data protection; data compliance & governance; and security awareness & training.
