W. Geoffrey Arnott leans towards identifying iktinos / miluus as the Black rather than Red Kite (Birds in the Ancient World from A to Z) However the word could have applied to both. Anyway, that source has some interesting information on how the ancients viewed the kite; not sure if any is important enough to include in the article. Pelagic (talk) 21:45, 6 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
