Minor grammar glitch

"they are at parity [with] or slightly higher than" should have "with" in the indicated position, but lacks it. The two comparators, "at parity with" and "slightly higher than" don't share the same final word, so the "or" needs each to be complete; they can't share "than" as their final word, because "at parity than" is not a thing. rank and chain of command

"The military organization is characterized by a command hierarchy divided by military rank, ..."

That's not correct. The chain of command is set by order. It usually goes along with the ranks, and extremely rarely against it. But there is no automatism that makes you platoon leader, or chief of battalion, or commanding general, just because you have a rank that fits to that function. ~2026-82464-9 (talk) 23:36, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
