Two terms in the US Senate
[edit]It says in the opening paragraph: " He promised that, if elected, he would serve no more than two terms." Seeing as he was elected first in 2010, it would seem like his running and re-election in 2022 is a violation of that promise. Is this worth stating in the article? Dissemination of fake information and supporter of violence
[edit]Section on MN murders and Lee's comments should note that he has not publicly commented on the posts nor has he apologized. Also please include a Utah reference. Suggestion: Deseret News "'Deseret News condemns Lee’s posts about Minnesota shooting' The editorial board of the Utah-based publication said the Utah senator cast a “poor light”’ on the Beehive State." 6/18/25, also referenced on Politico. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.37.10.166 (talk) 17:14, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
- @71.37.10.166
- A section needs to be added to talk about this. I'm not sure if this should be a subsection on "political views" (ie. "statements on political violence") or if a separate section should be made for "controversies." 73.228.126.155 (talk) 06:12, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
Mike Lee posted that the shooter of MN lawmakers was a "leftist" when indeed he was a confirmed trump supporter. https://bsky.app/profile/fpwellman.bsky.social/post/3lroeuzaeuk2o 50.245.185.89 (talk) 17:03, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
- Definitely should be included, didn’t have time today. Doug Weller talk 17:55, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
See The Hill, referencing MN Senator Amy Klobuchar "Klobuchar condemns Mike Lee’s posts about Minnesota suspect: ‘This isn’t funny’"by Miriam Waldvogel - 06/16/25.
"Lee posted, “This is what happens when Marxists don’t get their way,” Sunday on X, along with a photo of the suspected shooter released by the FBI, showing a masked man at the door of a lawmaker’s house.
Lee followed up with another post of the masked man’s photo alongside a headshot of Vance Boelter, the 57-year-old suspect, with the text “Nightmare on Waltz Street,” an apparent reference to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D)." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.37.1.130 (talk) 19:13, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

In June 2025, Lee was criticized by fellow senator Amy Klobuchar for posting misinformation and jokes on social media about the shooter who shot two Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) lawmakers and their spouse, resulting in two deaths on June 14, 2025.[1]
Modifications requested to add additional clarification concerning the nature of the shooting and posts of Mike Lee. Llamabutt (talk) 21:14, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
- I have included your edit, slightly modified to include Tina Smith and also note the comments specifically. --BrokeBoneGrinder (talk) 16:55, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
- I see that Sen. Amy Klobuchar's name is still being confused with Sen. Tina Smith's. Sen. Tina Smith is the one who approached Sen. Lee, not Sen. Klobuchar. How ironic that mere mortals can't correct mistakes on Sen. Lee's page, because he's worried about people being vicious... 2603:7081:303D:EADA:3C6D:21CD:4930:25D6 (talk) 00:18, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Day Creature (talk) 17:32, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
Proposal to sell public lands
[edit]I think a section should be included about Lee's proposal to sell public lands, as part of the Big Beautiful Bill. This proposal faced strong bipartisan opposition and Lee had to withdraw it. See for example:
I can add myself, but since I haven't worked on this article I decided to first create a topic in the Talk page, and hopefully a more involved editor can do it instead. Alan Islas (talk) 14:28, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Title of Raw Story article
[edit]A recent change revised the title of an article about Mike Lee in Raw Story. The original article has quotes around the phrase "Even morons pass the bar" to show that it came from a blogger, not the Raw Story editors. I will restore the italics and the quotation marks. Update Picture
[edit]The picture for Mike Lee needs to be updated. He looks quite different today than just a few years ago. He has lost his hair and quite a few pounds. Can we get it updated. Kemekit (talk) 02:23, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
