- no, this is a real organism. unfortunately, someone had added too much detail regarding their namesake fictional organism from star wars, so the confusion is understandable. scientists can name new species after lots of odd things, and self referential and recursive humor is allowed. Size
[edit]Are the bacteria described actually ~1.2mm x 0.45mm as in millimeters, or is that micrometers? If it's millimeters, that sounds exceptionally large for a cell, especially a bacterium. --128.172.159.77 (talk) 21:29, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Parasitism
[edit]The text specifies that they parasite, but at the same time, that they are symbionts. Those two terms are contradicting each other by definition.
