I have some proposed changes that I would like to make to this post. I am proposing them rather than making them directly because I am a member of the HealthVault team and therefore there are COI concerns.
I'll start by listing a few subjects I'd like to modify/extend/add:
- The write-up implies that web searching and the storing of medical information are integrated. This is incorrect - they are two different services, and information does not flow between them. This means (for example) that search results are not based on medical information.
- The article has very little information on what a HealthVault record is, and how user's authorize others to access their data. I would like to add a section on that.
- I'd like to add a "architecture" section that talks a little bit about how applications interact with the HealthVault platform and include a link to development resources.
If others are agreeable, I will propose text to address these.
