Hi @Geoffhunt3:, looks great! A couple of questions as I read the draft (now, article):

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "commissioned" scientific journal? Some quick Googling made it sound like this meant article submissions are by invitation only, but I don't see anything to that effect on ASM's website. So I'm guessing I'm not understanding.
"Topics include..." is your intention to say that the journal covers all of microbiology? Because if there's a pattern to the list items, I'm not sure it's coming through clearly.
Perhaps you could be more specific about the scope of the journal? How does this differ from ASM's mSphere and mBio? The mBio page is similarly vague, and - look at that! - mSphere has no page.

Hi @Ajpolino:! I've heard back from the ASM journals team in response to the questions you had about the article. According to them, there will be some additional news about the journal coming towards the end of the year that should address your concerns. I'll touch base once I have that information.
