I find this phrase

The more I research this the more likely it seems to me that it should be included in the article, perhaps cut in two, the first part in his early years and the book part later when the book gets discussed. Feel free to join in. Carptrash (talk) 15:20, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

I definitely feel it should be included in the article if it can be referenced in any way..generally I think it would be a good idea to expand this article particularly anything related to his books..they seem be the only methods available that teach 50`s style jazz guitar which arguable defines the sound of the instrument..thanks. also, as a guitarist currently studying his books I`ve found that they are extremely useful and I`ve been playing a while just so you know..personally I believe there should be a separate article on them although I am not really qualified to write it. It`s a generalization but he did study with Baily as well as others..he wrote it all down which was the basis of the books 2600:1702:2340:9470:AC0B:FA4E:B307:299D (talk) 00:57, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Ohio River Flood

It`s probably safe to say his stay at the Ridgewood Home had something to do with the Ohio River flood of 1937 The dates line up almost exactly...downtown Louisville was submerged for weeks and there were thousands of displaced people. 97.82.198.192 (talk) 12:09, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Hate crimes

The entry refers to a "growing rate of hate crimes in the Southern United States, during the burgeoning civil rights movement."

There were plenty of hate crimes before that. What is the evidence that there was a growing rate during that time? Furthermore, this is suggested as simply a rumor for why he moved, without any source. Nicmart (talk) 02:19, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
