I have been reviewing the details if Baroness Michelle Georgina Mone and because it is a protected site I was not allowed to make the necessary changes.
The changes are to be made to her marriage to Michael John Mone which wikipedia has as 1989. This is not correct. Her marriage to Michael John Mone was in 1992 which was done to hide from public view that she gave birth in the same year and give her some legitimacy.
The information is corroborated by the website wwww.scotlandspeople.gov.uk in the marriages section and in the divorces page "Year Of Marriage" section.
BIRTHS Www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/record-results/1336567623690bbaa786134 DIVORCES www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/record-results/1061090248690bbb3302a2a
The divorce was in the Court of Session, serial number 5855, Divorce Year 2013; Marriage 1992.
Hence, it is right that you amend this record.

- These are primary sources and our policy about using them in biographies prohibits using them like this. We need to wait for a secondary source to take notice of it first (if they ever do). SmartSE (talk) 22:15, 5 November 2025 (UTC)

Change Spouse: Michael Mone (m1989 - 2011) to Michael Mone (m1992 - 2011)

- @Ka1mhill: Thanks for raising this. We didn't previously have any source for either date. I have now added a source confirming the divorce occurred in 2011, but the source you cite (not that that link actually works for anyone) is a primary source, which is explicitly not able to be used in biographies. This is potentially suitable as a source to cite for the marriage being in 1992 however and this also says they were married for 19 years which tallies with 1992 being correct. Incorrect Date of Marriage
[edit]Michelle Mone was not married in 1989 but 1992 which is to make her legit. As it turns out, she is not white than snow, especially when her eldest Rebecca was born in 1989. To legitimize her pregnancy she states her marriage was 1989 instead of being 3 years later, 1992. Ka1mhill (talk) 16:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Michelle Mone, Baroness Mone → Michelle Mone – Almost all substantial coverage of the subject simply uses just their unique base name to describe them, while the honorary peerage title by contrast finds little meaningful usage. See Ngrams and the entire reference section on page. In the context, the honorific disambiguator is neither required, per WP:NCBRITPEER, not desirable, for obvious concision reasons.
