Suggested improvement
[edit]There are two versions of the title (Mew-genics and Mewgenics). I think we can make a footnote dating the old and new spelling and providing references for both. The footnote can be placed in the lead and "Mew-genics" in the footnote can be bolded. —LastJabberwocky (Rrarr) 09:07, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
For consistency, I would use the newer style throughout the article (Mewgenics). —LastJabberwocky (Rrarr) 09:07, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- @LastJabberwocky: Thanks for the feedback! In that case, would it even be worth it to mention in-line that it was originally hyphenated? BOTTO (T•C) 17:24, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- In my opinion, it would be difficult to find a cite for hyphen transition and without a source it's an WP:OR, UNLESS it is quick note saying 'spelled as both Mew-genics and Mewgenics'. Good luck! —LastJabberwocky (Rrarr) 17:17, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
Turn based?
[edit]I don't come to Wikipedia looking for game reviews, but it feels like the early body of the article should make it clearer whether this game (or its different stages) is turn based or not. I think that it might be turn based and that the word "tactical" might be being used in the "Final Fantasy Tactics" sense. But a game having tactics or being tactical doesn't clearly describe whether it plays out in real time or not. ~2026-94942-0 (talk) 01:22, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes; it's turn-based. BOTTO (T•C) 16:05, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Shouldn't we not include CWC?
[edit]Right now, under the "Controversy" section, it mentions CWC as one of the individuals who have voice acted. However, there is generally consensus on other articles that we should not mention CWC, even if she is covered by notable articles:
Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive340#Christine Weston Chandler page ("Chris-chan")
So do we include her or not? Max BuddyRoo (talk) 18:22, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, there are other individuals that do not have the existing WP concern of being included that are covered as subjects of concern in the game by reliable sources. We dont need that as an example. Masem (t) 18:26, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Absolutely. Most of the WP:RS coverage about the ongoing (as of writing) controversy surrounding some of the game's casting choices have singled out the Kleins as the main source of contention, but a few articles have been published recently that give a bit more WP:SIGCOV on the backlash of CWC's role, including one documenting a Twitter post by Edmund McMillen (the developer) questioning whether she could be held responsible for her 2021 arrest in an attempt to quench the aforementioned backlash. Note the sources use [REDACTED] rather than the colloquially-known moniker [REDACTED], possibly to avoid WP:DEADNAMING. Giovanni Potage (talk) 12:33, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
