Date of death: genealogy site(s) give January 2, 1990 as his date of death. I read the in the 1930s he represented African Americans working innthe fishing industry. He later represented their employer. The source also noted his attack of an African American witness as "uppity" for not referring to a white man with Mr. It was a bit anecdotal but could be followed up on as far as his work as a lawyer and involvement in discrimination and exploitation issues.
