Merge

[edit]

This page seems a duplicate of Commodification due to unfortunate translation. Merchandization is not the term used commonly in Marxist sociology, which is commodification. Merchandization is simply its translation into most Latin languages (ES: mercantilización, FR: marchandisation, IT: mercificazione, PT: mercantilização, but not RO: comodificării).

Therefore, I propose that Merchandization be merged into Commodification. Boodex (talk) 19:17, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merchandization does seem to be uses in English, for example:
  • Hirtt, Nico (June 1, 2004). "The Three Axes of School Merchandization". European Educational Research Journal. 3 (2): 442–5. doi:http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.2304/eerj.2004.3.2.2. {{cite journal}}: Check |doi= value (help); External link in |doi= (help)
  • Hill, Dave; Kumar, Ravi (2012). Global Neoliberalism and Education and its Consequences. Routledge. ISBN 9781135906511.
It also fits with the English use of merchant and merchantile. Therefore, opposing merge. Klbrain (talk) 12:47, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
