Contested deletion
[edit]@Diannaa: This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... this is an important weather feature in Asia that has related articles. Even if the text is partially taken from the AMS, it is referenced to it. How can it be a copy violation since it cites the reference? Furthermore, it is not the only reference. It seeems to me trowing away the baby with the bath water! How would you suggest to modify it, instead of blindly deleting it? --Pierre cb (talk) 02:40, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Pierre cb: Summarize the cited material in your own words. Verbatim copying of a copyrighted source, regardless of proper referencing, is a copyright violation. Note that close paraphrasing (superficial changes to wording) won't be enough to avoid infringement. --Drm310 (talk) 06:00, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
