Departure point

[edit]

It seems worth noting that Meig's raiding party left from what was Guilford at the time, the terrain feature from which it is held locally that they launched (now called Meig's Point) is in what is now called Madison, Connecticut. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.197.7.22 (talk) 18:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Primary materials say the departure point was Sachem's Head in Guilford. Meigs Point is probably named because of an early connection with the Meigs family. Magic♪piano 15:18, 8 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
