• Oppose Per WP:D, disambiguators should be precise and consistent with other disambiguatiors (i.e., WP:CRITERIA). One-word disambiguators are generally preferred, meaning in sports we'll sometimes get disambiguators like (baseball) or (tennis). So yes, it's true that Meena Shah isn't "a badminton," but there's no realistic way this is going to confuse readers. Incidentally, these disambiguators, which may seem more vague than the likes of (footballer), are more versatile. If a baseball player becomes a coach and becomes more notable for his coaching career, we don't need to argue between (baseball player) and (baseball coach). That probably doesn't happen in badminton, but it's something. --BDD (talk) 16:34, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
