Criticism of DRC piece

[edit]

Pinging 207.237.145.249 to invite discussion of how to properly represent the (reliably sourced) criticism of the DRC piece, per WP:BRD. Innisfree987 (talk) 23:12, 12 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

/* Criticism of DRC piece */ Attiah's piece is extremely unfair -- she mischaracterizes Jasanoff's points. Jasanoff doesn't call Africa a country (as Attiah alleges in the video); she doesn't approve of King Leopold (as Attiah claims in the video). To compare a serious scholar to Louise Linton is absurd.

By citing this critique without including the rebuttal (The Hindu review offers one -- explaining why Conrad's work should still matter), the wikipedia page parrots a very biased point of view.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:C085:62F0:40FB:1C3:B3E2:2F (talk) 22:21, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Bibliography

[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
