Maryedith Burrell

[edit]

Hi! Just noticed there are some easy factual errors to fix in my Wiki bio. Please correct ASAP.

ERRORS -

1. There is no "Theresa" in my name. My given name at birth is "Maryedith Ann Smith." (Birth certificate.)

2. My father was never designated or elected "city historian" of Gilroy, CA. (Ask the Gilroy Museum)

3. I graduated UCLA in 1975, not 1972. ( UCLA )

4. The title and subject of my one-woman show is incorrect. It is "#OUCH!: An Accidental Comedy." (Check Amazon Books) It is an hilarious account of my journey through the American Medical System. I wrote and performed it and played The New York International Fringe Festival where it was chosen "Top Ten" by the New York Times. ( Details in the New York Times.)

5. I am no longer an adjunct professor at Western Carolina University. (Ask WCU) I do continue to teach and lecture at various universities, conservatories and film festivals as well as coach corporately.

I have converted your request into a standard edit request. This does not require the use of the administrator tools; any editor may help you with this. Administrators have no more authority than any other editor, just extra tools that would be irresponsible for the entire community to possess. 331dot (talk) 08:32, 5 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I removed the portion about your name, as the provided source made no such claim.
The second line of the source provided to support the statement about your father says that he was the city historian. So, the newspaper in 1985 got this wrong? 331dot (talk) 08:39, 5 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
