On Bernard Murphy

[edit]

For this entry: Bernard Murphy (1818–1853) his son died from an explosion on the Jenny Lind steamboat traveling from Alviso, California to San Francisco, California. He traveled with his nephew when they both died.

I believe he was traveling with his brother-in-law, Thomas Kell, not his nephew.

Also, there should be commas inserted here: Bernard Murphy (1818–1853), his son, died ~2025-33641-09 (talk) 19:21, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

This article needs a lot of editing to fix the punctuation errors at the very least. There are other issues with the data and details that someone needs to research and confirm. ~2025-33641-09 (talk) 19:28, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Bernard Murphy (1818–1853) refers to the son; Martin Murphy Sr. had a son and a grandson that shared the same first name and surname. His son died on the Jenny Lind. Feel free to check all the sources, or do some research. Also you are welcome to edit the punctuation errors. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 06:38, 15 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
