Copyright, or lack thereof

Actually, the article is noted - with the name of the specific editor who wrote the article. Wikipedia does not create cut and paste articles, not even within itself. We give attribution when someone has written material. This unattributed copy/paste is not "clearly" NASA's creation, and thus unprotected. It attributed to an individual, and thus not exempt. It is, in fact, a copyright violation and thus should be speedily deleted. Scr★pIron^IV 20:29, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Yvonne Gibbs who is credited with the article is the NASA webmaster (see https://www.linkedin.com/pub/yvonne-gibbs/6/876/759, and note the bottom of this page: http://www.nasa.gov/centers/armstrong/multimedia/#.ViVgvCv09vI). Per the link I gave you, NASA material IS NOT SUBJECT TO COPYRIGHT, unless explicitly noted otherwise. We indeed give attribution, which I did when I created the article - see the edit summary. To elaborate here, since it's obvious you don't really understand copyright law, and have probably never read Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. We most certainly can and do create cut-and -paste articles within Wilkipedia- we do so every time we merge or fork an article. All that's required in those cases is attribution - and the reason that attribution is required is that UNLIKE NASA CONTENT, Wikipedia's textual content is copyrighted, and made available for reuse under Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (CC-BY-SA). NASA content, OTOH, is in the public domain. As the FAQ says, "All work produced by employees of the US federal government as part of their work is public domain" and "A work which is not copyrighted is in the public domain, and may be freely copied by anyone." Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because material from NASA is explicitly not subject to copyright. The section right above this one explains this quite clearly, with a link to the relevant NASA policy. Bad Dryer (talk) 20:14, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
