The article says he was born in Aix-les-Bains. It then says this is in the Basque Country. Either the second statement is just wrong, or we are linking to the wrong Aix-les-Bains. The linked Aix-les-Bains is in Savoy. It was then in the Savoyard State and is now in the far east of southern France, the Basque Country is on the western coast of Southern France.
