Moths

[edit]

I'm not gonna waste time arguing about how, or even whether, the section "Marmara#Moths on the accompanying Dab page violates WP:MoSDab: even if the guidelines somehow perversely support it, it harms the project to say "Well, 'Marmara' is part of the name of each species in the genus; maybe someone remembers the head of the binary name and they'll be able to recognize the full name."
It's in the nature of the genus concept that a list of the species (plural) is part of the article on the genus, and the result of listing all the species on the Dab page is that users who can't remember the species save two clicks getting to that section of the species, at the expense of making users who know they aren't looking for a species waste time and attention getting what they need. If you disagree, WP:IAR will help you see how to proceed.

Organization

[edit]

I worked on what had been Marmara#Geography; i'm not satisfied with it; it's an awkwardly mixed lot, and i was inclined to get the IMO probably heavy traffic cases (settled places) out of the users' faces quickly. I'd almost like to wp:IAR & experiment with a 2-D table whose columns are by country, and rows like (let's say) "settled places", "admin & pol divisions", and "other". IMO still poor, and i have some motivation to stay out a some other editor's way.
