Fixing Rails section

[edit]

I'm not a Rails developer, but I happened across _why's old SVN repository today and saw that his projects had been moved to github.com.

Perhaps the Rails install should use this instead of referencing the nonworking URI:

 script/plugin install git://github.com/why/markaby.git

Hope this helps. Rsperberg (talk) 16:48, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since _why has removed his online presence, github account included, you need to use this instead:

 script/plugin install git://github.com/joho/markaby.git

This is the new canonical Markaby location, as per this page: Decentralization of _why's Projects Alassek (talk) 16:58, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

The official repository is actually owned by the "markaby" user on github. Joho, spox, and I (smtlaissezfaire) are the official maintainers. joho/markaby was only the official location in the interim.

I've asked whymirror on github to update the decentralization page. As of today, he's still pointing to the old fork on the web page, but his own fork references the markaby/markaby fork (as seen in this screenshot):
