Both him and his brother joined the military after Mussolini's takeover, fought in the Spanish Civil War. They came from a disputed area, Istria, and them or their father further "Italienised" their surname from Visentin Visintini. German military of the time do get scrutinised politically, why not Italians, too? Cheers Arminden (talk) 10:18, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
