Age

[edit]

Someone offered that she was prob born in 1977. This was deleted. Very strange to have a Wikipedia entry with no age. She entered university in 1994/5. There should be an age listed. 88.39.105.226 (talk) 10:35, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

We don't operate on the basis of "prob". We need a reliable source. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 12:08, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
It’s a matter of public record that she started university in 1994 88.39.105.226 (talk) 16:17, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
If it’s verified that she graduated in 1999 with as was then offered a B.Arch then she entered UCD in 1994/1995 (1st year), 2nd year was 1995/6, 3rd year was 1996/1997, 4th year was 1997/1998 and her final year was 1998/1999. Irish students are 17 or 18 entering university. So she was born in 76/77. If her Wikipedia listing continues to state she was a B.Arch graduate in 1999 she can only be born in one of the years listed. 88.39.105.226 (talk) 16:38, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
you will need a reliable published source for your claim. Augmented Seventh (talk) 17:33, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Odd. Very odd. It’s published on this Wikipedia profile she graduated in 1999 after a 5 year B.Arch !!! 88.39.105.226 (talk) 18:12, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
I really don't see what you're not getting, here. It's Wikipedia policy, and it's policy for very good reasons. There is no conspiracy. Please actually read WP:V and WP:BLP. We don't guess, we don't assume. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 19:40, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Hi. In this edit, the:

  • infobox was updated to include a redlink to the subject's sister's name. Seemingly justified because "she is notable and it highlights this and a need a new page". A search for this name simply returns a single listing, as a "Junior Counsel", in the Law Library directory. Alongside the 2200 other members of the Law Library. Simply being a barrister (and listed among 2000 other members of the Law Library) is not indicative of notability. Pending demonstrable/verifiable indicators of notability (normally demonstrated by the existence of a biographical article and per the "only if independently notable" requirement of Infobox person, I have removed the red link.
  • sentence about the subject's aunts was updated with a link to this 2003 URL from The Times. Which makes no mention of the subject's aunts. Or the subject. I have removed the link. As unexplained, unnecessary and seemingly unrelated to the text it was placed alongside.
  • sentence stating that the subject had "qualified as a barrister, but has not practised since the birth of her children" was removed. Without any explanation. I have restored this text. As its removal was unexplained. And appears to be supported by the Irish Times source which states that "Steen first qualified as an architect and then later as a barrister [..but..] choose to work within the home".
