It appears to me that she is 'wearing a lot of hats' at the same time: teacher, researcher, academic administrator, academic advisor, journal editor. She has been a professor at the University of Cologne since 1994! Is this legal? Is this healthy? Can this not lead to a conflict of interests? Who keeps an eye on this? What happens, for instance, when she is the editor of a magazine that reviews a publication by one of her competitors for research grants? Or the other way around?
