Move to "Mapoutahi"
[edit]I hereby signal my intention to move this article from "Goat Island/Mapoutahi" to "Mapoutahi". I believe this is preferable for a number of reasons. First, no-one actually calls it "Goat Island" that I've ever met, nor in any published material I know of, which makes Mapoutahi the WP:COMMONNAME. Second, it's not an island, and there is a "Goat Island" just a few kilometres away in Otago Harbour, both of which make "Goat Island" a needlessly confusing name. Third, even the Gazetteer gives "Mapoutahi" as the official name of the feature and states that "Goat Island" is not an official name.[1] Unless anyone has cogent objections, I will make the move within the next twenty-four hours, as I see no reason for retaining "Goat Island" in the title. —VeryRarelyStable 01:55, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
