Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance. In my opinion a speedy deletion is a little hasty. 1. Following WP:SINGER the presented musician Maphra was "the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself". The references proof recognition by Rock Sound, de:Kulturnews and Allmusic. 2. Furthermore the singer ranked repeatedly (twice) in Billboard charts. 3. The singer achieved international recognition. At least british, german and US media.

According to WP:SINGER ranking in the Billboard charts with at least one single is a sufficient indication of notability for a musician. Therefore the deletion claim is unjustified and not in accordance with notability guidelines.

The specific chart referred to in the article is Billboards Hot Hard Rock songs, which is specifically legitimized at WP:BILLBOARDCHARTS. Plumerianer (talk) 09:40, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
