Recent developments absent

A quick read through this article shows it hasn’t really been updated (content wise) to reflect any developments since about 2015.

For example, it states experimental tests are still in their infancy, with a citation from 2015, and the most recent theoretical development is Imbrie’s 2014 proof under the assumption of limited level attraction.

Since then there have been huge developments in the field, which are entirely absent, for example the discovery of the avalanche argument which forbids stable MBL in random disorder in more than 1D and places a lot of uncertainty on its existence in 1D. It’s also missing developments (or offshoots?) like disorder free localisation, and connections to related topics like quantum scars, all of which came later.

This in fact leaves a brief mention of it in the Anderson Localisation article more up to date!

I would be happy to make a start on adding some of these as MBL is quite an important topic in the field of quantum non-equilibrium dynamics. Jaredjeya (talk) 16:16, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
